Glenda Virginia Whipkey Brubaker

Glenda Virginia Whipkey Queen Brubaker, 69, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 6, 2012.

She was born April 23, 1942 to Frank and Gladys Farnsworth Whipkey. A 1961 graduate of New Matamoras High School; She later went on to graduate from nursing school.  Glenda enjoyed being with her family and friends.  She also liked reading books.  Glenda was a member of the Marietta Church of God and will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are her children Holly (Denver) Abicht, Anna (Betty) Jones, Jackie (Ben) Queen, and Duane (Regina) Queen.  Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, along with sisters Florence Snider, Betty Stanley, Vera Hudson, Sharon Burge and Mary (Jerry) Austin and brothers Frank Whipkey, Delbert Whipkey, Richard Whipkey and brother-in-law Mark Francis.

In addition to her parents, sisters Loretta Whipkey and Twila Francis and brother David Whipkey preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Saturday, February 11th at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial in East Lawn Memorial Park.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 pm Friday with the family present from 4 to 8.
