Grace E. Francis

Grace E. Francis, 71, of Oak Grove, Marietta, passed away at 7:13am on Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

She was born on September 22, 1938, at Louisville, IL, to Lester and Kathryn Woods Daugherty.  Grace was a registered nurse and had worked at Marietta Memorial Hospital and Marietta Convalescent Center.  She was a graduate of Alton Illinois School of Nursing and a member of Marietta Church of Christ.

On April 20, 1959, she married Andrew Francis who survives with 2 daughters:  Kimberly (Rick) Wellspring of Fleming and Kristine (David) Pressler of Stow, OH, and 2 grandchildren:  Adam and Brittany Wellspring of Fleming.  Also surviving are 2 brothers and 1 sister: Paul and John Daugherty and Margaret Boerwinkle all of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Glenn Daughtery and sister Geneva Cochran.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (October 23) at 1:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Dennis Frary officiating.  Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday after 2:00 pm with family present from 2-4 and 6-8.
