Grace G. Kehl

Grace G. Hendershot Kehl, 94, formerly of Germantown and Jaycee Estates passed away at 7:20 pm on Sunday, September 12, 2010, at Harmar Place.

She was born in Germantown on March 25, 1916, a daughter of Charles Henry Hendershot and Tessa May Miller Hendershot.  She was a homemaker and a member of Sixth and Washington Streets Church of Christ.  Grace enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers, and the O’Neill Senior Center.

On November 18, 1933, she married Lee Ralph Kehl, Sr. who preceded her in death on January 26, 1978.  Grace is survived by 3 sons and 4 daughters:  Lee Ralph (Doris) Kehl, Jr. of Marietta, Larry Dean (Pam) Kehl of Belpre, Gary Edward (Rita) Kehl of Reedsville, Luella May (Bob) Pickrell of Belpre, Betty Jean (Claude) Roush of Wana, WV, Bonnie Lee (Harold) Broome of Lowell, Arlene Sue (Ed) Biehl of Whipple, 20 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 13 great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter, brother Charles Hobart Hendershot, and son-in-law Kenneth W. West, Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday (September 16th) at 1:30 pm at Sixth and Washington Streets Church of Christ with Roger Rush and Randy Baker officiating.  Burial will follow at PawPaw Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:00 pm on Wednesday with family present from 2-4 and 6-8.
