Helen M. Reed Davis

Helen M Reed Davis, 95, of Belpre, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2012, at 9:03 am at Muskingum Valley Nursing Home. She was born on July 22, 1916, at Layman, Ohio, to Bert and Bertha Wible Reed. She retired after 17 years as a rural mail carrier and was a member of the Belpre Congregational Church.

She married Warren Davis who preceded her in death on November 21, 1965. Helen is survived by special cousins Reda Nichols of Vincent, Judy Waller of Marietta, Lora Pettit of Athens and Madeline Whipkey of Marietta, and several other cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Lloyd Reed.

Funeral services will be held on Monday (Feb. 27) at 10:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Revernd Don Schumaker officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon after 2:00 with family present from 2-4 & 6-8.
