Howard H. “Hap” Hall
Howard H. “Hap” Hall, 87, of Marietta passed away 11:45am, Friday, May 5, 2017, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born May 9, 1929 in Washington County, Ohio, a son of John T. and Norma Bookman Hall.
Hap was chief chemist for Union Carbide until his retirement. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School and Marietta College. He was a member of Sandhill United Methodist Church and Marietta Civitan Club.
In 1947, he married Donna Theobald who preceded him in death on February 19, 2017. Hap is survived by children, Karen Hall-Fischer and husband Greg and Michael Hall and wife Lori; grandchildren: Kelly (Dan) Schlesinger, Chad Fischer, Jeremy (Tricia) Hall, Ryan Hall; great grandchildren: Carson and Madison Hall and Carter Giacomelli, special niece Judy Dye and his sister Janila Hall Theobald of Newport.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Gene Hall.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (May 9) at 10:30 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Valley Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 until 8 pm. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
