James E. Palmer, Sr
James E. Palmer, Sr., 72, of Fleming, passed away at his home on Friday, August 10, 2012.
He was born on August 12, 1939, at Layman, Ohio, a son of Harry and Nellie Weaver Palmer. Jim was employed at Remington Rand (Kardex) as a tool and die maker, was an early member of The Warren Volunteer Fire Department, and was a member of the Layman United Methodist Church.
On June 14, 1959, he married Brenda Plaugher who survives with 1 son and 3 daughters: Cindy Kennedy, James (Kelly) Palmer, Jr., Melissa (Ivan) Patterson all of Marietta and Deanna (Robbie Hinton) Tidd of Belpre, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 brother and 2 sisters: Jerry Palmer, Janet Cowan, Judy Corbitt. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Jean Plaugher.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (August 15) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Lou Whitney officiating. Burial will follow in Tunnel Cemetery.
