James Edward Grace

James Edward Grace, 93, of Marietta passed away at 1:24 pm, Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at The Arbors of Marietta.

He was born on November 16, 1930 at Ashland, KY, to Charles Homer Grace and Iris Lorraine Sizemore Grace. Jim retired in 1997 from Marietta Board of Health where he was a Sanitarian and Director of Environment Health. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict.

On October 18, 1958, he married Helen May Miller who preceded him in death on September 7, 2018. He is survived by his daughter Jill Alison (Steven) Hersch of Ashland, OR, granddaughter Elie Hersch, daughter-in-law Angela Grace of Marietta and brothers-in-law, Harold (Joyce) Miller and Gilbert (Wanda) Miller both of Marietta.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and son Steven E. Grace.

Graveside military service will be held on Friday (May 24) at 2:30 pm in East Lawn Memorial Park. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
