Jeanette A. Neville
Jeanette Augusta Minerva Erb Neville, 89, of Skyvue Circle and Pleasant Ridge Road, Marietta, died Thursday (February 11, 2016) at her country home with her most loved dogs, Allie and Buddy by her side.
She was born September 11, 1926, in Fearing Township to David and Rebecca Holiday Erb. She attended Marietta High School. She was employed by F. W. Woolworth, Frontier Hardware, Elston Lumber Company and later as a cook at the Washington County Home. She enjoyed remodeling houses, growing flowers and was an avid collector of many things, Precious Moments figurines being her favorite.
Jeanette was a member of VFW Ladies' Auxiliary, The Fraternal Order Eagles and The Fraternal Order of Moose.
She is survived by one son, Melvin Edward Neville and his wife Eileen, of San Diego; three grandchildren, Dr. Angela Avakian (husband) Brandon) of El Segundo, CA, Benjamin Neville (wife Karen) of San Francisco, CA, and Elizabeth Scott (husband Ryan) of Ladera Ranch, CA, four great grandchildren, Tyler and Ryan Avakian and Carter and Tristyn Scott. She is also survived by her sisters, Hester L McCain, Ruth Morris (husband Bradley), Bonnie Williams, Imogene Tidd, and brothers, Pearl Erb (wife Lilo) of Reading, PA, David Erb (wife Ruth), Dale Erb (wife Paula), John Erb (wife Barbara), Ronald Erb (wife Yvonne) and sisters-in-law Mrs. Jean Erb and Mrs. Beverly Erb. She was loved by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death in 2003 by her husband Edward, whom she married December 11, 1943, her parents, sisters Carrie Hallett (Jesse), Mary Lou Erb (Jacob), and brothers, Virgil (Mary), Herbert, William (Betty), James and Gary Erb.
Services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, February 20, at the McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home in Marietta with Pastor Wendy Erb officiating. Burial is in East Lawn Memorial Park.
