Jensen Axel Drummond

Portrait of Jensen Axel Drummond

On January 10, 2024, at 7:04 p.m., we welcomed our beautiful baby, Jensen Axel Drummond, into the world. With deepest sorrow, we share that our beloved son passed away far too soon on August 31, 2025, at the age of 1 year and 7 months. Jensen filled every day with joy, laughter, and amazement.

Jensen amazed us daily with his energy, curiosity, and delight. He loved watching Paw Patrol and playing with his “bub-bubs”—jumping on them, yelling at them, or destroying their newly built Lego or magnetic tile towers and Minecraft characters. He enjoyed turning off the PlayStation on his brothers mid-game, and mimicking Mom and Dad whenever they yelled for his brothers. They could often be heard screaming long, loud, and all together in the back seat of the car. Just recently he loved playing red light, green light, and mimicking every move his brothers made. Jensen also loved singing and playing with “Mum-Mum,” jamming and dancing to any music that came on. He loved helping his “Da-da” with any task, big or small.

He treasured precious moments with all his grandparents—from playing peek-a-boo and swinging on the front porch swing with Nanny and Papaw Larry; to eating all-you-can-eat mac and cheese and drawing with chalk on the walls with Mimi (Tausha); blowing bubbles and spending time with Mamaw Missy; to visiting Mamaw Debbie to ‘fix’ her wheelchair, spend quality time, and sneak Lucy, the dog, some of his food. Jensen loved all his blankets, calling each one “baby.” Almost always, if you saw Jensen, he was carrying his “baby.” We don’t think there was a soft blanket in the house that Jensen didn’t claim as his own. His or not
He would take it and claim it.

Jensen was smart, almost to curious, and lovable. He was quick to grab “his tools,” like his daddy’s, to fix anything—broken or not—and amazed us every time. He knew exactly which screwdriver or tool to grab for the task at hand. He loved cleaning and running his vacuum and often startled everyone by spraying them with Mommy’s spray bottles. His many faces, cute and silly little walks or runs, and funny noises just to make you laugh were just part of what made him one of a kind. Jensen is deeply missed and loved by everyone who met him.

Jensen is preceded in death by his Papaw Greg Michael and Uncle Joey Michael. He is survived by his loving parents, Brianna Michael and Dalton Drummond; brothers Joseph Munoz, Jace Michael, and Jayden Michael; Grandmothers Tausha Michael and Melissa Butler; Great-Grandparents Debbie Michael and Rebecca and Larry Hammer; Aunts and Uncles Brittany Corbitt (Corey Wittekind), Ryan Gregor (Haylee Prather), Micah Braden (Josh Christopher), and Greg Michael; Cousins Damien, Reagan, Carmyn, Cayleigh, and Siilus.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home, at 314 4th St., Marietta, OH 45750, on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the same location on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.

Though his time with us was far too brief, the love Jensen gave will remain forever in our hearts. He was truly extraordinary, and we will miss him always.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with the funeral arrangements.
