John H. Adams
John H. Adams, 75, of Marietta went home to be with the Lord 3:55 am, Sunday December 22, 2013, at his home. He was born on October 8, 1938, in Marietta a son of Hayden H. Adams and Violet M. Adams. John was a Retired Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, Civil Service, Air Force National Guard, and retired from the Corp of Engineers. He enjoyed being with his family, fishing, flying and camping.
John was married to Pauline (Hunt) Adams who preceded him in death on November 14, 2013.
He survived by his children: Jimmy Dale (Sandy) Cooke, Johnny Raye (Nikki) Adams, Larinda Sue (Kevin) Terpack, Carolyn Marie (Kevin) Rittenhouse; Danna Mechelle (Jennings) Shuman; 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, a grandson Joshua D. Cooke and great grandson Mason L. Rittenhouse preceded John in death.
The family will greet friends at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5 until 8. Funeral services will be held on Friday (Dec. 27) at 2:00pm at the funeral home with entombment following in East Lawn Memorial Park with full military rites.
