John Paul Teschel
John Paul Teschel, 81, went to meet Jesus on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 20,1932 in Vienna, WV. He graduated from Marietta High School in 1950, and graduated from the University of Cincinnati 1972. He majored in Interstate Commerce Law and International Trade Laws at Chase Law School, Covington, K.Y. He was employed as Corporate Traffic Manager at Clopay Corp., Cincinnati, OH, Memphis, TN, and Bayonne, NJ. He retired in 1991 as World Corporate Traffic Manager of Norton Co., Worcester MA. He traveled extensively throughout the USA, South America, Europe, and Asia. While stationed in Akron, OH he did post graduate work at Akron University and also lectured to MBA students. He developed a Junior Achievement pioneer program involving college MBA students advising local High School students in setting up Junior Achievement businesses through Delta Sigma PI Fraternity for college credits. The program was later adopted by several universities and Delta Sigma PI branches throughout the USA.
While stationed in Worcester, MA, he conducted seminars on International Business and also conducted a nightly 10 week course on International Business Procedures and U.S. and Foreign trade laws. He was a guest speaker at various organizations throughout New England and was Founder and President of Central Massachusetts Transportation Assn. whose purpose was granting college scholarships to students entering first-year college. He served on the Board of Directors of Progressive Shippers Assn. and was elected to the presidency in 1990, which represented 432 companies throughout New England. His organization affiliations were: Delta Nu Alpha Fraternity, Delta Sigma PI Fraternity, World Trade Club, and various Traffic Clubs throughout the USA. He is listed in the National Register of Who's Who in Executives and Professionals of America.
He is proceeded in death by his mother and father; Goldie Myrtle Congleton, Teschel, and George Rudolph Teschel, and seven brothers and sisters; William R. Teschel, Joseph Teschel, Helen Teschel (Reinke), Mary Teschel (Frazee), Elizabeth Teschel (Rochford), and Mary Leora Bayles, and Nancy J. Wilson. He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews scattered throughout the USA.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday (July 2) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home officiated by his ordained nephew, Gordon C. Bayles, Jr. Burial will follow in Berg Cemetery.
