Jonathan W. Shaffer

Jonathan W. Shaffer, 62, of Reno passed away at 4:00 pm, Friday, January 12, 2018, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born October 23, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA, a son of Howard and Anita Hummel Shaffer.

Jonathan was a Chemical Engineer with Zoetis Corporation and attended First United Methodist Church of Williamstown.

He married Linda Holland Barnes who survives with one son, Deane E. Barnes; granddaughter Sierra Barnes, brother Kevin Shaffer and sister Susan (Larry) McGee, his father and stepmother Dottie Shaffer and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday (Jan. 18) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Reverend David Calvert officiating. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 4 until 7. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
