Joseph W. Hiener

Joseph W  Hiener, 87, of Reno passed away at 1:35am, Sunday, December 14, 2014, at Emeritus of Marietta.  He was born May 30, 1927, in Marietta a son of Walter Clemence and Ruth Alzara Hiener.  He was employed as a millwright at Union Carbide and various power plants along the Ohio River.  

Joe was a member of Harmar Masonic Lodge #390 and Aladdin Shrine Club, and a member and former trustee of Valley View Baptist Church.  He enjoyed being out of doors and spending time working on raising funds for the Shrine.

 On June 25, 1950, he married Mary Anne Bradfield who preceded him in death on October 23, 1997.  He is survived by his daughter JoAnna (Roy) Schau of Vienna, 3 grandchildren:  Marie (Robert) Smith, Matthew (Lacy Woodward) Jones) and Ryan Alan (Haley Gray) Schau; great grandchildren: Austyn Wright, Baylee Schau, Adalyn Schau; 5 sisters and 2 brothers.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 sisters and 1 brother.

 Funeral services will be held on Thursday (Dec. 18) at 11:00am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial in East Lawn Memorial Park.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8.  Masonic services will be held on Wednesday evening at the funeral home at 8:00pm.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.Lankfordfh.com.
