Kenneth S. “Steve” Eddy

Kenneth S. (Steve) Eddy 64 of Newport Ohio passed away on August 8th, 2024, at 12 noon at Marietta Memorial Hospital surrounded by his kids.  Steve was born July 3rd, 1960, in Marietta Ohio to the late Kenneth T Eddy and Jane E Robbins Eddy. He was proudly employed by Halls Drilling as a welder.

Steve is survived by 1 son and 3 daughters: Kenneth (Elizabeth) Eddy JR of Newport, Kendra (Geoff McCabe) Eddy of Marietta, Katrina (Cole) Dutton of Lowell, and Kim Eddy of Marietta. He was a proud Pap of Emma, Wyatt, and Macy Eddy, Michael (Natalie Pomroy) Craig, Landon Lauer, Sawyer Dutton, Jessica (Mason Clarke) Book, and Hayden Hart. He had 2 bonus daughters: Casey (Aaron) Buckley and their kids Jace and Blake, and Catelyn (Caleb) VanMeter and their daughter Lainey. 2 bonus sons Jake Hasley and Osten Hartshorn. He is also survived by his siblings: Danny (Kelly) Eddy, Norma (Richard) Seevers, Rose (Larry) Poulton, Martha (John) Buckley, Keneta (late Gary) Waters, Richard Eddy, and Deane (Jennifer) Eddy. Cousins but more like a sibling: Tony (Connie) Eddy, Doug (Lee) Eddy, Beverly (Bob) Etinger, Missy Eddy, and Glenda (Ross) Johnson and several nieces and nephews. He is survived by his good friend since childhood, Rick Ward, and his companion dogs Sissy and Chubbers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Krista Eddy, and brother Paul David Eddy.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Monday August 12th, 2024, at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Newport Cemetery.
