Leroy Eugene Hutchinson

Leroy Eugene Hutchinson, 88, of Fleming, OH, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Camden Clark Hospital. He was born in Warren Township, OH, a son of the late William Hutchinson and Alice Robertson Hutchinson.

He was a graduate of Marietta High School in 1953 and retired January 1990 from Union Carbide after 33 years of service. Leroy was a member of the Souls Harbor Baptist Church where he was involved with the Seed Line Ministries. He was a founding member of the Warren Township Volunteer Fire Department and was an avid outdoorsman, interested in hunting, fishing, camping, blackberry picking and forging for roots.

On March 30, 1955, he married Donna Joy who survives with children: Bonita (Tom) Walker of Morganton, GA, Steve (Kathy) Hutchinson of Marietta, Belinda (Tom) Schaad of Waterford, Brenda (John) Ray of Pine Bluff, AK and Batrina (Dale) Applegate of Richmond, KY: grandchildren: Amanda Vickers of Westerville, OH, Tyson (Leslie) Vickers of California, MD, Tayla (Shaheem) Quarterman of San Antonio, TX, Natalie (Brad) Groves, of Devola, Nicole (Gale) Daggett of Williamstown, Linette Berry of Parkersburg, Tisha (Jason) Chichester of Marietta, T J Schaad of Waterford, Travis (Erin) Schaad of Waterford, Terrence (Cassie) Schaad of Waterford, Jessica (R J) Armstrong of Marietta, Justin Offenberger of Parkersburg, Kayla (Aaron) Causey of Berea, KY, Marlee Applegate or Richmond, KY: 21 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and 1 on the way; step grandchildren: Luke Walker, Beth Whited, Matt Whited, Josh Applegate, Lori Applegate, Julea Pepmiller, Lacea Hawkins, and Sydnea Ashburn and 2 brothers Earl (Wilma) Hutchinson and Larry (Judy) Hutchinson.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (Jan. 16) at 11:00 am at Souls Harbor Baptist Church with burial following in Tunnel Cemetery.
