Letitia “Tede” Kampmeier

Letitia “Tede” Kampmeier, 78, of Marietta, went to be with her Lord, and was reunited with her husband on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

Tede was born on June 8, 1933 in Marietta to Roy and Gladys Preston Morris.  She had attended Marietta High School and was a life-long member of the Marietta First Church of the Nazarene.

On November 29, 1953 she married Victor Kampmeier who preceded her in death on August 28, 2003.

Surviving are children Roy (Valerie) Kampmeier of Marietta, Yvonne (Endre) Berecz of Bradenton, FL, and Richard (Jennifer) Kampmeier of Parkersburg. Also surviving are grandchildren Kevin (Katie) Berecz, Michelle Berecz, Mike (Brandi) Kampmeier, Korland Kampmeier, and  Tiernan Kampmeier. Tede is also survived by brothers Roy (Elaine) Morris, Jr. of Normantown, WV, and Dave (Shirley) Morris of Marietta, and a sister Mary Martha “Marty” Morris of Marietta and several beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brothers Karl, Richard and Elmer Morris and sisters Sarah “Libby” Sprague and Doris Morris.

Funeral services will be held 11am Friday, March 9th at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Schmelzenbach officiating.  Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 3pm Thursday with the family present from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9.
