Lewis A. Erlwein

Lewis A. Erlwein, 89, of Marietta, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2012, at Marietta Center for Rehabilitation. He was born on February 15, 1923, in Rochester, PA, a son of David F. and Clemma Wright Erlwein. Lew was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 168, was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII serving in Germany, and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

On March 29, 1945, he married Jean Kephart who survives with one son, Lew (Jo) Erlwein of Marietta, 2 grandsons, Lance and Lee Erlwein, and great granddaughter, Grace Erlwein.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday (Sept. 27) at 11:00 am in New St. Marys Catholic Cemetery with Monsignor Michael Campbell officiating. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.mslfuneralhome.com.
