Linda Kay Treadway Forsyth

Portrait of Linda Kay Treadway Forsyth

Linda Kay Treadway Forsyth, 81, of Marietta, Ohio, woke up in the arms of Jesus on May 5, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born June 29, 1943, in Marietta, Ohio, to the late Dayton and Orpha Treadway.

Linda was known as a sweet Christian woman of unwavering faith, whose life was a beautiful reflection of grace, kindness, and love. Her walk with Christ was the cornerstone of her days-faithfully attending and serving in her church community, lifting others with prayer and encouragement. She also found delight in simple pleasures: a game of Skip-Bo with dear friends, conversations with neighbors and spoiling their pets with treats.

Family was Linda’s greatest treasure. She poured her heart into nurturing, supporting, and loving her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.

She is survived by her children Brenda Riffe (Steve), Deborah Wing (Tim), Gary Forsyth II (Maria). Grandchildren: Lana Lauer (Nick), Brandi Beaver (Andy), Adena Matheny, Tanner Ogle (Amy), Conner Ogle, Clayton Wing (Casey), Davis Wing (Machaelie), Christina Doran (Josh), Becca Forsyth. Great-grandchildren: Kaylynn, Nicholas, Charlotte, Kyle, Keelan, Carter, Sophie, Kinsley, Sidney, Sophia, Stella, Cooper, Charley, Talan, Laikynn. She is also survived by one sister, Beverly Snow (Fred), and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gary N. Forsyth, daughter Rebecca “Becky” Drayer Barnes, and brother Keith Treadway.

While we grieve the loss of such a beautiful soul, we rejoice in the knowledge that she is now at rest in the eternal presence of the Lord. Her legacy of faith, love, and kindness will continue to inspire us and live on in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing her.

The family would like to thank Dr. Cawley and her staff, her church family, Gwen Pitts, and her close friend, Barb Jackson, and the many others who have shown their love, compassion, and support over the past two months.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home in Marietta. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, May 10th at 11am, with Pastor Rick officiating. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
