Louis F. Hackathorn
Louis F. Hackathorn, 85, of Marietta, passed away at 11:30 pm on Sunday, July 18, 2010, at Heartland of Marietta.
He was born on February 14, 1925, in Wheeling, WV, to Marion and Virginia Little Hackathorn. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy and had been employed at the Marietta Plant of American Cyanamid for 35 years, retiring in 1987.
Louis married Glenda Williamson who preceded him in death. He is survived by 2 daughters: Patricia Jean Hackathorn of Orlando, FL and Nancy Rebecca Thompson of Pahrump, NV, brother Hollis Hackathorn of Las Vegas, NV, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters: Nancy Hackathorn and Peggy Buchanan and brother David Hackathorn.
Visitation will be held on Thursday (July 22nd) from 11:00 until 2:00 at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home followed by a full military graveside service at 2:30 at East Lawn Memorial Park.
