Margaret Jane Dailey Bules

Margaret Jane (Dailey) Bules, 89, of Lowell, Ohio, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016.

She was born June 4, 1927, in Marietta, Ohio, daughter of Pearl and Nellie (Worstell) Dailey of Lowell, OH.

Margaret graduated from Marietta High School in 1943 and then dedicated her life to her family and community.  While raising 5 children, she served her church, Lowell United Methodist Church, volunteered at Lowell Elementary School long after her children had left, was a huge supporter for 4-H and Camp Hervida for many years, and was a Lowell poll worker for over 20 years. She took on projects big and small while continuing to take care of her immediate and extended family, as well as friends. Margaret was a small feisty woman with a great sense of humor and a love for reading and gardening. She was always willing to lend a helping hand as she was known to be a hard worker, a good listener, a trusted confidant and always ready with frank advice.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters: Jon & Sandy Bules of Marietta; Neil & Terri Bules of Knoxville, TN; Molly & Joe Chambers of Corvallis, OR; and Amy & Gerard Fortuno of Cincinnati, OH; seven grandchildren: Will Bules, Ian Bules, Liz Bules, Megan Chambers, Tyler Bules, Haley Fortuno, and Michael Chambers; four great grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers: Kathryn Weihl of Marietta, OH; Teresa Huck of Lowell, OH; Larry Dailey of Marietta, OH and Roy Dailey of Gallipolis, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold R. Bules; daughter, Jane Naylor; grandchild Sarah Naylor; parents; and two sisters, Ruth Irvine of Colorado and Helen Harton of Virginia.

A Memorial service will be held at 10:30am Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Lowell United Methodist Church with Pastor Pamela Lashley officiating. Friends may call from 9:30am-10:30am Saturday in the fellowship hall before the service.
