Mariana B. Walters
Marianna B. Walters, 86, of Marietta, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 3:38pm on Friday, December 18, 2009, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Marietta on February 8, 1923, a daughter of Lawrence and Florence Swabb Baker. Marianna was a homemaker. She was very kind and caring woman who spent many years taking care of her handicapped son and family. Marianna enjoyed flowers, old music, Christmastime and collecting deer. She was a Christian by faith and was saved many years ago at the Bible Center church.
On March 17, 1951, Marianna married Richard L. Walters who survives with 1 son and 1 daughter, Richard Walters, Jr. and Linda Anne Walters of both of Marietta; 2 granddaughters, Jolene Sexton and Aleaha Sexton, special friend Mark Sexton and many special care givers. Also surviving is her brother Emerson (Phyllis) Baker. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (December 23rd) at 2:00pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Kapple officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 on Wednesday until the hour of the service.
