Marjorie Jean Hoff Lane
Marjorie Jean Hoff Lane went home to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, March 5, 2015.
She was born on June 23 to the late Mary Alice Root Hoff and Everett S. Hoff. Marjorie married her high school sweetheart Kenneth W. Lane on April 17, 1947 and they enjoyed almost 60 wonderful years. They loved ballroom dancing and the many friends they danced with over the years. She was a graduate of Marietta High School and worked with her husband at their business, Lane’s Sporting Goods. She also enjoyed working in the box office of Showboat Becky Thatcher. She was a member of First Methodist Church in Williamstown and Marietta Christian Women’s Club.
She is survived by their two daughters, Jena Lane Blair of Marietta and Marina L. Webb of Coxs Mills, WV. , twelve grandchildren, Amanda James of Cincinnati, Kent Constable (Amanda), Michael Constable (Mary), Rachel Rollins (Chris), Eddie Constable (Loretta), Allison Constable, David Blair (Rachael), Elisabeth Jones (Daryl), Christina Turner (James), RaeAnn Braun (Michael), Rebekah Blouir (William), and Matthew Webb all of Marietta, and 27 great-grandchildren. Her sister in law, Betty Hoff of Johnson City, TN and her life long friend Dorothy Geason of Sandusky.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, their infant daughter, her parents and her brother.
Funeral service will be 3 pm on Sunday March 8th at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Sat. from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 to 8 pm and prior to the service on Sun. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
