Martha Elizabeth Busch Ash

Martha Elizabeth Busch Ash, 100, died at her home on September 18, 2024.  She was born on September 3, 1924 to John and Marjorie Billman Busch in Sardis, Ohio.

She is survived by her three children:  Floyd J. Ash of Marietta, OH; Larry D. Ash of Beckley, WV; Carol (Tim) Berezne of Mentor, OH: 2 grandchildren: Kayla and Eric Berezne and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lawrence E. Ash, and two sisters: Kathryn (Carl) Erwin of Phoenix, AZ and Anna Lee (Bob) Pawsey of Clyde, OH.

She was a member of the Church of Christ at Warner, OH.

She loved to cross stitch, play cards, do word searches, and enjoyed a bouquet of flowers anytime.  Martha spent many years quilting, square dancing, and spent countless hours volunteering and fundraising in her woman’s club which helped to provide college scholarships.  She was also a big fan of OSU Football.

Services will be held at the McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home, on Saturday September 21st, at 2:00pm.  Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at the East Lawn Cemetery. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
