Mary Amanda Davis

Mary Amanda Davis, 87, of Marietta passed away at Harmar Place on Saturday, November 18, 2017. She was born Aug. 3,1930, to the late Elmer “Pete” and Anna Binegar Hearn.

Mary graduated from Bloomfield High School. On February, 15,1953 she married Donald W. Davis, who preceded her in death, Dec. 2, 2008.

Mary is survived by daughter, Rosemary Davis of Marietta and son and daughter-in-law, James “Jim” and Darlene Davis of New Matamoras. Her 4-legged family. Bear and Kohley. Dear friends known as family to Mary, Kenny and Sheila Wright

Mary took great pride in her farm and you would often hear her talk of her bull Timmy. She loved being outdoors, working the fields or gardening. In her later years you would see her on Saturdays at McLeish Auction.
In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by sisters, Georgia Hearn and Josephine Hesson.

The family would like to thank the staff at Harmar Place and Hospice nurses and aides for their care given to Mary in her final days.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Little Muskingum VFD (envelopes will be available at the funeral home)

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (Nov. 22) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Reverend Rick Headley officiating. Interment will follow in Muskingum Valley Baptist Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 until 5 and 6 until 8.
