Mary Ellen Cunningham

Mary Ellen Cunningham passed through the heavenly gates on March 11, 2019. She was the daughter of Glenn and Helen Wilson, born on July 28, 1936, and the sister of Gary Wilson of Marietta. She graduated from Elk Local in Harriestville.

She was married to Richard Cunningham September 11, 1954. Together they had 3 children, Marilyn (Dan) Kehl, David Cunningham and Carolyn (David) Bleakley. Mary Ellen enjoyed Nascar and The Ohio State Buckeyes. She was a member of the Lower Salem United Methodist Church and the UMW at the church. She had been employed at The Woman’s Home.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren: Matthew (Tina), Kala (Troy), Mark (Deanna), Brandon, Derrick (Kelly), Kent (Megan), Chelsea (Jeff), Tanner (Halle), and Hunter (Courtney); 12 great grandchildren: Mikayla, Madison, Mackenzie, Eithyn, Kelton, Cole, Kali, Maci, Isabella, Parker, Zackson and Lennox. Her parents and husband preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday (March 14) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with interment following in Salem Township Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 until 8. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.Lankfordfh.com.
