Mary Ellen Henrie Smith

Mary Ellen Henrie Smith, 80, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013, at The Arbors of Marietta. She was born on March 20, 1933, in Wood County, WV, a daughter of the late James and Violet Bayles Henrie. Mary was a homemaker, a great cook and housekeeper. She loved watching birds and growing flowers.

Mary is survived by her children: Diane Schiller, Cheryl Tice, Christine Slider (Eddie) Cranfield, Hollie, Roger and Pat Slider and Andrew Smith; 22 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild and 5 sisters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Hollie Slider and 3 sons, Delbert, Cleo and Mark Slider and 2 sisters and 7 brothers.

Funeral services will be held Friday (Oct. 4) at 2:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with interment following in Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown.
