Mary K. Shaw

Mary K. Shaw, 85, of Marietta, passed away at 7:06 pm on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.  She was born on January 26, 1926, in Cambridge, Ohio, to Edward and Inez McCune Hannum.  Mary was a homemaker and a member of Highland Ridge Community Church and Eastern Star.  She enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren.

On December 23, 1947, she married James A. Shaw who survives with 3 sons and 1 daughter:  James E. (Becky) Shaw of Byesville, Jeffrey R. (Ella) Shaw of Marietta, Curt E. (Sally) Shaw of Marietta, Lorrie (Al) Lovitz of Columbus; 6 grandchildren:  Aimee (Rick) Rosia, Kathryn (Jeff) Hartline, Heather (Chris) Tonn, Tiffany (Christopher) Becker, Alex Shaw, Ben Lovitz; 7 great grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.  She is also survived by 2 sisters:  Dortha Snyder and Thelma Roe and sister-in-law, Dorothy Hannum.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Harry and Bernard “Tony” Hannum.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (Jan. 25) at 12:00 noon at Highland Ridge Community Church with burial in Highland Ridge Cemetery.  Pastor Don Hart will officiate.  Friends may call at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home, 314 Fourth Street, Marietta, OH, on Tuesday afternoon after 2:00 with family present from 2-4 and 6-8.
