Mary L. Patterson

Mary L. Patterson, 82, of Marietta, passed away 3:35 am Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Harmar Place.

She was born on November 25, 1925, to Charles and Mildred Hutchinson Hall on Long Run in Marietta and had attended Yankeeburg School. She was a homemaker all her life and was a member at the 6th and Washington Street Church of Christ.

On November 9, 1947 she married Robert Patterson, Sr. who survives with children: Robert Patterson Jr., Ted (Susie) Patterson and Betty (Steve) O’Linn all of Marietta.  Also surviving are grandchildren Tammy Thomas, Sandra Seevers, Melinda Crone, Jeremy Patterson and Amy O’Linn, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  Her brother James (Ida) Hall also survives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Irene Grayson and brothers George Hall and Gale Hall.  A daughter-in-law Eva Patterson also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Saturday, October 18th, at McClure—Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Roger Rush officiating.  Burial will follow in Valley Cemetery.  Friends may call from 6 pm Thursday until the hour of service.  The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 on Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 on Friday.  Online condolences may be sent at www.mslfuneralhome.com Memorial Contributions may be made to the Strecker Cancer Center, 401 Matthew Street, Marietta, Ohio 45750.
