Mary Morris Haller

Mary Ruth (Morris) Haller, 87, of Marietta formerly of Bridgeport, WV, went to be with the Lord  at 4:30 pm on Sunday, June 26, 2011, at Heartland of Marietta.

She was born in Marietta on December 30, 1923, to Earl H. Morris, Sr. and Ida Belle Kemp Morris and was one of  twelve children.  Mary was a homemaker and was known for her delicious home cooked meals.  She attended Hills United Methodist Church. and was a member of Bridgeport United Methodist Church.  She was a member of The Order of Eastern Star.

On Christmas Day, 1958, she married William Robert Haller who preceded her in death on October 30, 1997.

Mary (Mimi) will be sadly missed by her children and grandchildren.  She is survived by her children:  Gregory Sturm of Marietta, Denise Haller Mattingly (David) of Minneapolis, MN, Barbara J. Duffitt (Robert) of Oxon Hill, MD, Beverly L. Patrick (John) of Bridgeport, WV; grandchildren:  Vanessa Patrick, Robert Sturm, Stephen Duffitt, Kimberly Haller, Kent Haller, Michael Duffitt, Adam Patrick, Dustin Mattingly, Deidre Mattingly and great grandson Jackson Haller.  She is also survived by 1 brother and 2 sisters, Bradley Morris (Ruth), Ethel Warden, Ida “Peachie” Eros and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Gary R. Haller, 3 brothers:  Lee Morris, Earl Morris, Jr., Darrell Morris; 4 sisters:  Jessie Madison, Bettie McCracken, Virginia May Morris, Carolyn June Morris.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2011, at 10:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Jeff Walker officiating.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Bridgeport, WV.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening beginning at 5:00 pm .
