Mashellda P. Gibbs
Mashellda P. Gibbs, 63, of Marietta passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born August 22, 1955, in Covington, Virginia, a daughter of John Alfred and Pat Mahaney Alfred.
Mashellda retired from Washington County Jobs & Family Services where she was a fraud investigator. She was a member of Gilman United Methodist Church.
On April 10, 1979, she married Michael Gibbs who preceded her in death on March 21, 2011. Two sons and one daughter survive: Renee Harvey, Jason (Lisa) Gibbs, and Brandon (Bibbianna) Gibbs all of Marietta; 6 grandchildren: Trey and Reid Harvey, Addison, Rylee, Brock and Gage Gibbs; her sister Robin (Ernie) Hoschar and brother John (Kathy) Alfred, Jr. Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held on Monday (Nov. 5) at 11:00 am at Reno Christian Church with Pastor Teddy Tackett officiating. Interment will follow in Valley Cemetery. Family will greet friends at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 and at the church one hour before the service.
