Mildred I. Schario

Mildred I. Bennett Schario, 89, of Marietta, passed away at 8:27 pm on Friday, April 2, 2010.

She was born on March 29, 1921, in Marietta a daughter of Herbert and Pearl Miller Warden.  She had been employed at New System Bakery and later employed at First Settlement restaurant where she was affectionately known as “Millie”, retiring 2 years ago.  She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of VFW and enjoyed watching football, baseball, was an avid NASCAR Fan, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

On January 26, 1946, she married Richard Schario who preceded her in death on July 18, 1968.

Millie is survived by 1 son and 1 daughter:  Roger (Sherry) Schario of Marietta and Jeannie (Ron) Hebert of Warner; 4 grandchildren:  Angela (John) Flannery, Ryan Herbert, Kristina (Darren) Duskey, Travis Schario; 7 great grandchildren:  Meghan and Jacob Flannery, Logan, Aaron J. and Mason Hebert, Lauren and Alex Duskey.  She is also survived by 2 sisters, Elizabeth Warden of Marietta and Winifred Flowers of Williamstown, and 1 brother Robert Warden of Marietta.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 grandchildren, Aaron Michael Hebert and Isaiah Roger Schario, 2 sisters, Marie Offenberger and Catherine Warden, 5 brothers:  Wilbur, Paul, Ralph, Corbett, Lowell  and Harold Warden.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (April 7) at 1:30 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial in Valley Cemetery.  Visitation begins at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8 and Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8.
