Murrill “Dutch” Holland

Murrill G. “Dutch” Holland, 74, of Barlow, passed away at 2:30 am, Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Muskingum Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Dutch was born November 22, 1934 in Marietta to Forrest and Sarah Weaver Holland.  He was a graduate of Marietta High School and had retired from Marietta Memorial Hospital after over 20 years of service.  Dutch was a member of the Twin Rivers Baptist Church, enjoyed Southern Gospel Music, gardening and taking care of his dogs and cats.

Surviving are his children Mark (Judy) Holland of Waterford, Natalie (Bill) Spindler of Marietta and Melissa (Josh) Coombs of Florida.  Also surviving are grandchildren Erica (Scott) Biehl of Newark, Shelley Holland of Waterford, Tiffany (Brad) Hoyt of Findey, Matthew Spindler of Marietta and Kelsie and Josh Brockmeier of Florida and great grandchildren Troy Gibson and Madison Biehl.  Twin brother Darrill Holland of Marietta and sister Mildred Richards of Akron also survive him.

In addition to his parents 10 brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

Memorial services will be held 1 pm Thursday, October 1, at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Longgrear officiating. The Family will greet friends from 11 am Thursday until the hour of service.
