Norma J. Hill

Norma J. Hill, 81, of Shamrock Drive, Marietta passed away Sunday March 1, 2009 at The Arbors of Marietta.

She was born June 1, 1927, at Bens Run, WV, to the late Baird and Mabel Woodford Koon. She was a 1945 graduate of Marietta High School. She was a homemaker and had been employed at Hart's Family Center for a time. Norma enjoyed her family, baking and shopping.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Kenneth L. Hill to whom she was married on October 1, 1946; her three sons, James (Rita) Hill of Marietta, David (Malorie) Hill of Jacksonville, FL, and Craig Hill of Marietta; one granddaughter, Megan (Greg) Gault of Marietta; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Ethan Gault; one sister, Jean Pickens, one brother, Baird Koon and his friend Sally Voll, all of Marietta and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Sally Angelillo.

Services will be held on Wednesday (March 4) at 10:30 amat McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with The Reverend Don Archer officiating.  Burial will follow atEast Lawn Memorial  Park. Family will greet friends on Tuesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00.
