Patricia J. Hood

Patricia J. Hood, 72, of Marietta, passed away at 3:10 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 4, 2011) at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

She was born on Oct. 12, 1939, in Marietta, a daughter of Howard and Fannie Fullerton. Patricia was employed in the dietary department at Heartland of Marietta and enjoyed being with her family.

On Dec. 24, 1956, she married Richard Allen Hood who preceded her in death on April 6, 1988.

Patricia is survived by one son and one daughter, Richard E. Hood of Chillicothe and Tricia (Chris) Thorn of Walker, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Christopher, Joshua, and Kassandra Thorn and Ashley Vincent and Joey Hood; her sister, Marilyn (Clifford) Holden of Marietta; and special friend and loving companion, Ronald Dutton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers and two sisters, Ronald, Richard, Jerry, Grace and Betty.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (Nov. 9) at 11 a.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Gravel Bank Cemetery.
