Patty Sue (Doan) Tidd

Patty Sue (Doan) Tidd, 60, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026 in Cleveland, Ohio with her husband and children by her side. She was born June 7, 1966 in Marietta, Ohio. She was the middle daughter of the late Paul Gene and Leona Pearl (Stark) Doan.

Patty graduated from Marietta High School in 1985. On July 28, 1984, she married James “Jim” Tidd at Putnam Congregational Church in Marietta. She worked at Haessly Hardwood Lumber Company, alongside her husband, for 26 years as a bookkeeper. The two were never apart.

She loved entertaining friends and family and could light up the room with her smile, her laugh, and her playful personality. She loved her family above all else and was always planning something special for them.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 42 years, Jim, her children, Ethan Tidd and Jamie Harris, her grandson, Reed Harris, her sisters Debby Martin (Rex), Vicky Lauer (Mike), Tracy Fankell (Ralph), and Kristy Weckbacher (Todd), her brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as all of her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews whom she loved like her own.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Paul Gene Doan, Jr.

Visitation will be Friday, August 14, 2026 from 4-8pm and service will be held at 11am Saturday, August 15, 2026 at McClure Schafer Lankford Funeral Home in Marietta, Ohio with interment at Putnam Cemetery in Devola. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
