Paul E. McVey
Paul E. McVey, 79, of Marietta, passed away at his home on Thursday evening, June 16, 2011, at 7:55.
He was born on May 12, 1932, in Walker, West Virginia, to Frank and Margaret Horton McVey. Paul was a mechanic for Eastern Apparatus Company, was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Korea, and enjoyed watching dirt track racing.
On May 8, 1953, he married Patsy J. Francis who survives with 2 sons and 2 daughters: Steve (Sharon) McVey of Belpre, Donna (Charles) Reynolds of Vincent, Cathy (John) Worstell of Marietta, Jeff (Brenda) McVey of Belpre, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 3 sisters: Anna Bauerbach, Melva Callihan, and Pat Nicholson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Michael McVey.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral home with Pastor Rod Brower officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Bank Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon after 2:00 with family present from 2-4 and 6-8.
