Pearl G. Smith

Pearl G. Smith, 92, of Graysville passed away at her home on Thursday, January 2, 2014.  She was born on December 25, 1921 in Shay, Ohio, to Comer Haught and Mary Tice Haught.  She was a homemaker and a member of Point Pleasant Christian Union Church.  She enjoyed her life with her faith, family and friends.

On October 20, 1941, she married Gilbert V. Smith who preceded her in death on December 24, 1990. 

Pearl is survived by her children:  Genevieve (Jim) Bosner of Waterford, Glen (Angela) Smith of St. Marys, Dora (Ed) Howell of Wingett Run, Delila Howell, Donna (Mike) Howell, Elaine (Bobby) Howell all of Graysville; 21 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 14 step great grandchildren, 5 great, great grandchildren, 1 step great, great grandson; brothers Dale (Phyllis) Haught and Frank (Irene) Haught and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Edward V. Smith, great granddaughter Gwen Howell, and 2 sisters Lydia Wallace and infant Faye Haught.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday (Jan. 4) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Jim Scott officiating.  Burial will be in Knob Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday after 4:00pm.  Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.lankfordfh.com.
