Penny Lee Dalton

Penny Lee Dalton, 82, of Marietta passed away on April 4, 2025 at Elison Assisted Living. She was born March 4, 1943 in Waterford, Ohio to James and Grace (Fleming) Cozzens.

Penny was a 1961 graduate of Warren High School and had been employed at Fenton Art Glass. Penny was a member of the Nazarene Church. She enjoyed walking, and had been involved in several 5k races, crafting, and working in her flower gardens. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

On November 23, 1963 she married George “Buddy” Dalton Sr. who preceded her in death on August 16, 2020.

Penny is survived by a son and 2 daughters, Monica (Scott) McPherson of Marietta, Tina (Tyler) Barnes of Veto and George (Michelle) Dalton, Jr. of Newport. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. A sister Lela Richard of Galveston, TX and a sister-in-law Akiko Ganson of Barlow also survive.

In addition to her parents and husband, Penny was preceded in death by sisters Sue Owens, Janet Goddard and Ruth Goode, a brother Richard Ganson, son-in-law Marty Welch, and step mother Anna Marie Cozzens.
