Ralph M. Stacy

Ralph M. Stacy, 81, of Oak Grove, Marietta, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2009, at 4:30 pm at Marietta Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born on April 14, 1928, in Marietta a son of Merle and Wilma Talkington Stacy.  Ralph graduated from Marietta High School and attended Ohio State University.  He was a farmer who owned and operated Stacy Farms, was a founding member of Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department, a Deacon of First Congregational Church, past president of Marietta Truck Growers Assoc., was very active in Washington County Farm Bureau and past member of Marietta Civitan Club.

On November 25, 1951, he married Mary Joan Green who passed away on May 25, 1983.

Ralph is survived by 2 sons and 1 daughter:  William Don (Janet) Stacy, Elizabeth Ann (Randall) Sims, Bruce Ralph (Julia) Stacy, grandchildren:  Amanda, Todd and Tyler Stacy, Kenner Sims, Mary Kathleen (David) Prim, and Scott Sims, Donald Ralph and Joanne Marie Stacy; great grandchildren: Madison and Lucas Prim.  Also surviving are 2 brothers:  Leo (Janet) Stacy and Paul (Beverly) Stacy.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Brent Merle Stacy.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (September 25th) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Reverend Linda Steelman officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:00 on Thursday afternoon.  Memorial donations are requested to:  Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department, 102 Oak Grove Lane, Marietta, OH 45750.
