Ralph Richard Flesher, 77, passed away August 2, 2018 at his home in Marietta, Ohio surrounded by his family. Richard was born June 30,1941 at home in Layman, Ohio to the late Harry and Gladys Flesher. He graduated from Vincent High School, in Vincent Ohio, in 1960, and served in U.S. Army Reserves.

Richard enjoyed working as a sheet metal engineer with Engineering Services in Central Maintenance for DuPont Washington Works in Washington, West Virginia. He retired in June of 1999 after 34 years of service. He enjoyed helping friends and family with any home remodel, roofing, or furnace repair. He loved tinkering in his garage, fishing, camping, hunting and spending time with his family and friends.

Richard leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Sharon White Flesher of Marietta; children Karen Brantley (Ken) of Grove City, Lora Offenberger (Scott) of Marietta, and Mike Flesher (Lori) of Marietta; grandchildren Andrew Brantley (Anna), Kristen Brantley, Taylor Brantley, Katy Oster, Kayla Riffle (Zach), Alex Flesher, Austin Offenberger, Logan Offenberger.

Calling hours will be held Monday August 6 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home 314 Fourth Street Marietta, Ohio 45750. A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday August 7 at 11:00 at the funeral home followed by the interment at East Lawn Memorial Park.
