Raymond “Pud” T Sutton

Raymond “Pud” T. Sutton, 73, of Waverly passed away 9:00 am, Tuesday January 18, 2011 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born August 30, 1937 in Wood Co. WV to Hugh and Pauline (Brookover) Sutton.  Pud had retired as a heavy equipment operator for West VACO Corp. and was a social member of the American Legion Post 159.  He had enjoyed farming, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Pud married Peggy Sue McIntyre. Surviving this marriage is a son Randy (Robin) Sutton of Williamstown, WV and daughters Raina Snyder of North Royalton, OH and Deana (Tim) Poburs of Strongsville, OH. Also surviving are grandchildren Logan, Haley, and Carson Sutton, Kayla, Jennifer, Rachel, and Amie Snyder and Kaiti and Tyler Poburs.  Sisters Eunice (Bill) Rowell and Inez Caplinger and brothers DeWayne “Pete” (Libby) Sutton and Darrell “Sipe” (Sandy) Sutton also survive.  

He later married Norma “Butch” J. Wolford who survives with stepchildren Joyce Wilt, Sharon Cronin and Jerry Pingley.

In addition to his parents a brother Sherman “Tink” Sutton preceded him in death.  

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Saturday, January 22nd at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home burial will be in Owens Brookover Cemetery on Kellar Lane in Boaz.  Visitation will begin at 2 pm Friday.
