Raymond W. Davis, Jr.

Raymond W. Davis, Jr., 77, of New Matamoras passed away at 5:30pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Heartland of Marietta. He was born on March 2, 1936, in Marietta a son of Raymond W. Davis, Sr. and Goldie Boyce Davis. Raymond was retired from Quaker State Oil Company and veteran of the Ohio National Guard.

He married Betty L. Blaker who preceded him in death on January 19, 2012.

He is survived by their children: Dana (Debbie) Davis of Shawnee, OH; Raymond Davis of Florida, Robin (Don) Valentine of New Matamoras, Allen (Cathy) Davis of New Matamoras; 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Also surviving are 1 brother and 2 sisters: Bill Davis, Rose Radabaugh and Marie Lauer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday (Jan. 11) at East Lawn Memorial Park with viewing one hour before the service at the cemetery. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.lankfordfh.com.
