Richard E. Harris

Richard E. Harris, 86, of Lowell, OH, formerly of Wood County, WV, passed away October 20, 2015, at Heartland Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 23, 1929, in Flag Pond, Tennessee, the son of Zeb and Georgia I. Randolph Harris.

Richard was a decorated Naval Veteran from both World War II and the Korean War.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Karen (Robert) Smith of Lowell and Melanie (Roger) Easter of North Carolina; two sisters, Ida Hensley of Ohio and Juanita (Claude) Rice of Virginia, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lola Harris, 2 daughters, Freda Sprouse and Delorse Lauderman; brothers, Fred, Paul, Arthur and Vance; and sisters: Velma, Ester and Mary.

A private family memorial service will be held in Tennessee. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family.
