Robert L. Poling

Robert L. Poling, 75, of Vincent passed away December 5, 2012 at Muskingum Valley Nursing Center. He was born in Vienna, WV on March 13, 1937 to Willie and Belva (Price) Poling. Bob was a 1955 graduate of PHS and a 1959 Graduate of Marietta College. He taught school from 1959 to 1990 in Washington County and in Vienna. Bob was a NRA member and loved hunting and trapping.

On August 19, 1961 he married Carole Russell who survives with daughters Cheryl Lowers (Ernie) and Sandra Thornberry (David) both of Vincent. Bob is also survived by grandchildren Matthew and Mark Lowers, Sarah (fiancé Kendall Santee) and Luke Thornberry. A sister Delores Reynolds (Lawrence) of Dallison, WV, a brother-in-law John Russell (Rhea) of Reno, and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Bob was cremated and no services will be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to a food pantry, fire department or the Salvation Army. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.mslfuneralhome.com.
