Robert Lloyd Hannahs

Robert Lloyd Hannahs, 95, of Marietta passed away at 1:19 pm, Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born December 5, 1929, in Newcomerstown, OH, a son of Preston Hannahs and Vera Lloyd Hannanhs.

Robert retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Company after 35 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Gilman United Methodist Church, founding member of Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of Marietta Civitan Club and Telephone Pioneers.

On December 17, 1950, he married Norma Jean Ford who preceded him in death on July 29, 2007. He is survived by his children: Rob Hannahs of Marietta, Kathy Anderson of Marietta, Nancy (Jeff) Brenner of Westerville, OH, Keith (Annette) Hannahs of Bad Hersfeld Germany; grandchildren: Cory Knick, Carrie Haynes, Kyle Brenner, Christopher Hannahs and great granddaughter Alexandra Haynes. He is also survived by his brother Larry Hannahs and 2 step sisters, Carol Ann Rush and Mary Lou Meeks.

Preceding him in death are his parents, stepmother Mary, wife, brothers, Richard and Donald and step brother, John.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday (July 16)  at 11:00 am at Gilman United Methodist Church with burial following in East Lawn Memorial Park. Family will meet friends at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent to www.Lankfordfh.com.
