Robert W. Pugh
Robert W. Pugh, 73, of Fleming passed away at 8:31 pm, Friday, February 15, 2019, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born July 8, 1945, in Akron, Ohio, a son of Roy Cecil Pugh and Hazel E. Cameron Pugh of Lowell.
Bob retired from Marietta Solid Waste Management Plant. He was a member of Torch Baptist Church. Bob enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, bowling and playing softball. He was a “die hard” Steelers Fan.
On June 27, 1965, he married Ruth Masters who survives with a daughter and a son, Sheri (Kevin) Thrasher and Robert W. (Margie) Pugh II both of Marietta; 2 grandchildren: Tyler J. and Christopher R. Thrasher, brother Roy C. Pugh, Jr. of Marietta, sister Patricia Huck of Lowell and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and sister Betty Beardmore.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (Feb. 20) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Putnam Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.Lankfordfh.com.
