Roger Lee Dalrymple

Roger Lee Dalrymple, 68, of New Matamoras passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at Selby General Hospital.

He was born at Ben’s Run, Pleasants County,WV, on August 27, 1942, a son of Edith Morgan and George Edward Dalrymple.  He had been employed by Forest Construction, retiring in 1994.

His first wife, Lennie Francis, preceded him in death.  Surviving this marriage are his children:  Bud and Missy Dalrymple of Barlow, Sonia and Michael Everson of Mineral Wells, Angie and Jim Sigfried of Marietta, Kim and Doug Hedrick of Marietta, Michael and Diane Dalrymple of New Matamoras; grandchildren:  Shawn (Jessica), Kiel, and Katie Dalrymple, Matt (Priscilla) Jones, Tifani and Jonathan Hedrick, Ashley Dalrymple, Michael Boughner, Samatha Klinger; great grandchildren Kyndra and Arianna Dalrymple and Kali Jones.

On June 20, 1997, he married Lenora Jean West who survives with stepchildren:  Charles and Ginny West of Pettyville, Pam and Lloyd Prather of Elizabeth, Debbie and Joe Wile of Belpre; step grandchildren:  Hannah Custred and Chad Prather, and step great grandchild Madison Custred and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters and grandson Zachary Ryan Hedrick.

Funeral services will be  held on Friday (September 17th) at 1:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Reverend Glenn W. Pryor, Jr. officiating.  Burial will be in German Church Cemetery in New Matamoras.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday after 2:00 with family present from 2-4 and 6-8.
