Ronald E. Knowlton

Ronald E. Knowlton, 55, of Marietta passed away at his home at 11:20 p.m., Dec. 14, 2011.

He was born Dec. 10, 1956, in Ashland, Ohio to William and Mary White Knowlton. Ronald had been employed for 34 years at RJF where he was a member and two-time president of Local Union 343C ICWU. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church at New Matamoras. Ronald enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family.

In September 2000 he married Melissa Beaver who survives with three sons and four daughters: Jeremey (Clarissa) Knowlton, Jason Knowlton, Casey (Aaron) Ruble, Kristine (Mike) Bush, Lacey (Andy) Prim Kymberlee Knowlton and Steven Beaver. Grandchildren Jason, Savannah, Courtlyn, Kaitlen, Stacia, Keera, Noah, James, Ava and Hunter also survive with brothers Keith (Robin) Knowlton and Greg (Jeanette) Knowlton.

In addition to his parents, his mother-in-law, Alma Beaver preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday (Dec. 17) at First Baptist Church in New Matamoras with Pastor Rick Smith officiating. Burial will follow in New Matamoras Cemetery. Friends may call at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home from 3 p.m. Friday with the family present from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour at the church before the service.
