Ronald Harris
Ronald Harris, 68, of Ashland, Ohio, formerly of Marietta, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Grant Hospital in Columbus.
He was born on January 24, 1943, in Marietta, a son of Paul and Ruth Cottrill Harris. Ron was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Assembly in Ashland, a Singer and Songwriter, and was a retired truck driver.
On May 20, 1977, he married Carla Shaffer who preceded him in death on July 17, 2009.
He is survived by 2 sons and 1 daughter: David (Amy) Harris of Granite Falls, NC, Sharla (Nathan) Teague of Jeromesville, Ohio, and Kyle (Elizabeth) Harris of Ashland; 4 grandchildren; brothers, Bill and Mark Harris; sisters: Roberta Greathouse, Rosemary Treadway, Lenore Schmal, Susan Neilson. A life-long friend Bill Waterman also survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Dave and Richard Harris.
Memorial services will be held on Friday (April 22nd) at 3:30 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Tracy Officiating, where friends may call before the service on Friday from 1:00 until 3:30.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with the arrangements.
