Ronzel Shawver

Ronzel Shawver, 64, Williamstown passed away March 8 as a result of complications from bladder cancer.

Ronzel graduated from Williamstown High School. After a brief stint in the military, Ronzel worked in management positions for Nobil Shoes in West Virginia and Pennsylvania, and in management positions for Domino’s Pizza in the Marietta, Parkersburg, and Ashtabula areas. He later moved back to West Virginia and worked for Custom Applicators.

Ronzel was passionate about sports. He was a big fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, the Cleveland Guardians and WVU football and basketball.

He was the son of Mary Lou Guittar and the late Gary Shawver. He is survived by his mother; daughter Staci Redford (Scott); siblings Robin Baylous, Rodney (Marianella) Shawver and Roger (Julie) Shawver; grandchildren Julianna, Scottlyn, and Olivia Redford; and nieces Cassi Baylous and Lindsey Boso (Brandon) and nephew, Rodney Lee Shawver (Stephanie).

He was preceded in death by his father; nephew, Austin Shawver, and brother- in- law Darrell Baylous.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday (Mar. 13) at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Riverview Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8. Online condolences may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
